Many of my watchers and other fellow deviants are asking me where I get certain crafting supplies, and so I thought I create a small feature to show you my main sources and possibilities to get materials together
Feel free to comment with shops and possibilities you know!
I use metal findings mostly for jewelry and to embellish my featherquills.
You can find such things on backyardsales and fleamarkets, but the most reliable source is Etsy or Ebay.
Here some of my favourite Etsy-shops for metalparts, stampings and ornaments:
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/BirdysDes…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/ChasingTh…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/squirreln…
-> www.etsy.com/shop/ingredientsf…
I searched very very long, but again Etsy solved my problems
You can find miniature bottles in various webshops on Etsy, Ebay and DaWanda to very various prices, sizes and conditions.
My favourite store is sitting in China, but its worth the waitingtime^^
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/diyla
-> www.etsy.com/shop/ingredientsf…
Most gems I use come from my private collection, since I´m hording gemstones and minerals like a dragon
But sometimes you make great finds on backyardsales and fleamarkets! Also many goldsmiths are selling their unused gems to effordable prices on Ebay when they close buissness. Of course you can just buy gems from professional jeweler or Ebay-shops, but I personally have not won the lottery yet...
My glasscabochons and glass stones I buy at various webshops.
My favourite is sitting in germany, but I listed several from the US too
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/FunkelSho…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/waytobead
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/yummytrea…

-> www.kernowcraft.com/
I order all my clays at knete-billiger.de , because they have all brands of clay, except for Kato-clay and two japanese brands. Also they deliver within whole EU and have a huge crafting material shop (for felt, paper, tools, paints, brushes....)
For US customers I listed two other websites I found which should deliver worldwide. If you live in the US you might be lucky to have a handcraft store nearby, those markets have almost all clay in store.
Websites to order different polymerclays:
-> www.polymerclayexpress.com/ - shipping within US
-> knete-billiger.de/index.php - shipping within Germany & EU, all clays and all colours
-> www.joann.com/crafts/general-c… - shipping within US
Felt & Fabrics
Uhhh, the market is huge! Visit a fabric-store in your town, lookon Etsy, Ebay, Amazon, Dawanda or just google for it^^
Also a great way is to search backyardsales/tagsales/fleamarkets for fabric. I love that!
Here some shops were I regulary order felt and fabrics, mostly from germany/europe
(german/EU) -> www.vbs-hobby.com/de/basteln/s…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/everafter…;
-> de.dawanda.com/shop/textilgros…
-> www.mohairbearmakingsupplies.c…
-> www.plushaddict.co.uk/
-> www.rooftopfabrics.com/
If you know other shops please tell me so I can list them up!
Feathers
Personally I don´t like to buy feathers from shops. I like to know the birds or at least I need to know no bird was killed or harmed for its feathers. Many shops are insuring to sell molted feathers though, but if you like your craft to be totally safe: leave feathers away or search feathers in your local park or forest or ask a friend with bird pets for feathers lost through molt.
Here anyway some great shops selling feathers
-> de.dawanda.com/shop/Bastelfede…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/Stuffnfea…
-> www.moonlightfeather.com/
Glasseyes + Noses+Fursuit claws, jaws, teeth, ect.
I use glasscabochons as eyes only, but I found this great shops lately, selling noses and eyes for dolls and plushies and some others for fursuit makers^^
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/DreamVisi…
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/GlassEyes…
You sell fursuit supplies? Comment and I´ll feature your shop in the list!
Fantasy Film / AngelinaFilm
I never had bigger issues finding a crafting supply - no one wanted to tell me what this foil is or where I could buy it, it seemed a well guarded secret... But after a time and alot of long google sessions I found several webshops Here in germany its very very difficult to get, for european customrs I recommend searching for shops from Great Britain!
Here five shops with several or even all colours of Angelina film and other fantasyfilms:
-> www.etsy.com/de/shop/polymerar…
-> www.artglitter.com/retail/fant…
-> www.hobbycraft.co.uk/crafty-no…
-> www.ooakartistemporium.com/Ang…
-> zigzag.co.nz/mm5/merchant.mvc?…

Aloha all you beautifull people out there! I hope you´re all healthy and keep on rocking, even in these dytopic days. Finally, a decade late, I joined Instagram https://www.instagram.com/crafty_ganjamira/ Follow for daily uploads of my 1000+ artworks and all that is to come. Will try to get into making short vids of crafting sessions too, but I´ve to figure out alot of stuff first, like how to make vids and how to handle the site itself^^' Thank you all in advance for reading and your support and patience I know I´ve vanished since last October, I had so many orders in my shop I did´nt even had an xmas-vacation yet...Thanks for the work in isolation dear 2020, as fan of dystopic scifi I appreciated it alot. Thank you for all the Birthday-Messages!
I´ll try to answer them all, but I just wanted to say a huge big THANK YOU!!!! to y'all together - You are awesome! :dalove:
Sadly it was probably the worst birthday ever, which started with a noisy fight with my fiance, followed by an even louder break-up...
I apologize deeply to !ProfessorDoctorNerdy (https://www.deviantart.com/professordoctornerdy) , who was visiting us at the time and had to whitness our relationship mess at first hand - thank you so much for trying to help and for keeping me company during the last days, it really means alot ;_;

Health Issues - Finger Surgery
Soooooooo, I just came back from surgery, I had to fix some minor issue at my right middle finger. What I did not think about before was that I could not use my right hand properly for 1-2 weeks...:D
So here I am, typing with 1-finger-method and wondering how to do my chores...and my Daily Paintings for my BL3-Countdown...and my crafty work... It could have been planned better, but I´m glad it´s done now.
I´ll try to make easier Vaultsymbols, maybe with my left hand, and might answer comments even slower than I do already^^'
Hopefully the thread will be removed at 1st August, and I really really hope I´ll be able to dra

www.etsy.com/shop/ingredientsf… Is a great craft supply website. Featuring many of the glass bottles and domes, as well as a massive collection of stones and metal charms, parked here in the US!
www.moonlightfeather.com/ , also in the US, has a great selection of wonderful quality feathers for very good prices.
www.etsy.com/shop/Aim4Goodies Is where I get all of my steampunk bits (gears, watch faces and etc)
Hope this helps somsone x)
Also a tip for Polymer Clay users:
Eyeshadows make amazing tinting devices. Mix a bit into the clay, or for a stronger effect, brush it over. Loose powder shadows are best, but you can use any cheap pallet too!
Also, loose metallic/glitter/pearl eyeshadows are amazing for it (I use the NYX loose pearl eye shadow www.nyxcosmetics.com/p-13-loos…) and can be a cheaper alternative for when you just need a little bit, perhaps of an usual color for one project!
