My Inspiration - Part I

Today, more yesterday, I got a quiet disturbing note from one of my artistic idols She asked me to mention her again as inspiration for my root- and forestjewelry pieces, because people accused her that she would copy my art.

First of all: She was MY inspiration for this kind of natural themed jewelry! If anyone copied something its me!
So stop accusing the original genius!

Maybe some of you remember this masterpiece from her
It was a DD in spring this year.
The perfect natural look of the moss and the wood were my inspiration to try it myself. I never saw sculpted branches like this before and was simply amazed by her skills
One month later I uploaded my first piece of jewelry in this natural rooty style.
Granted, I forgot to mention her in he descipton of this particular piece, but I mentioned her as inspiration a couple of timer afterwards in other deviations descriptions. I see now that this is not enough -.-


I never ment to copy her style, I just wanted to learn how to sculpt wood, and she is the master in this technique. I always tried to use this technique in my very own style, and at some points I even did not upload some pendants I made because I found far to similar pieces in her gallery.
If anyone of you had such a experience too, you know how frustrating this is. Its like drawing a OC, being super proud of and find the exactly same character, only drawn better from another artist... But remember: our world is so huge, it can only be coincidence instead of meanly planned evil!


showed me a whole new world of possibilities with polymerclay and she inspired me deeply. I guess only and H.R.Giger had a equal deep impact on my artistic life.
                   
               She simply does not deserve to be accused in such a way.
